Could Your Company Survive A Metatarsal Break?

Is the success of one nation’s sporting team entirely dependent on one man?  Is the success of your organisation overly dependent on a few key players?  What are you doing to make sure you have contingencies in place?

According to the press the England football team’s success in the World Cup is already in doubt because Wayne Rooney has broken his foot.  Twice.  Long-time fans of the English team may welcome the excuse for defeat, but is it a sign of poor management and planning that this entirely predictable injury is such a setback?
